Purchased this for my 10-year-old's birthday and she absolutely devoured it. She's already asking if there are more books about Candice! The friendship between the two girls is so genuine and sweet. I appreciated that it shows how being kind and open to new experiences can lead to wonderful friendships. Great messages without being preachy.

I read this aloud to my 4th grade class and they were completely engaged. The characters are relatable and the story celebrates diversity in such a natural way. Candice's nervousness about middle school resonated with many of my students, and they loved seeing how her friendship with her neighbor helped her feel more confident. Looking forward to future books in the series.

What a delightful read! This book does a wonderful job showing how two girls from different backgrounds can connect and become best friends. The middle school setting felt realistic without being scary, which is perfect for kids approaching that age. A great addition to any elementary or middle grade classroom library.

My daughter is starting 6th grade this fall and was nervous about making new friends. "Candice's Adventures: Meeting my BFF" was exactly what she needed! The story beautifully captures those butterflies-in-your-stomach feelings about starting middle school while showing how friendships can blossom in unexpected ways. Highly recommend for kids ages 9-12!

So many kids' books these days are fantasy or dystopian adventures. While those are fun, it's refreshing to find a book about real situations kids actually face - starting middle school, making new friends, meeting people from other countries. Well-written and age-appropriate.
